How do I choose which options to invest in?

I am interested in learning how to invest in stock options. However, it seems like I have an awful lot to learn before I will be ready to actually put any money into this type of thing. How do I know which stock options to invest in? Is there some way to choose which stock options are most likely to make you money? I know I have seen some options trading systems advertised on the internet, and I am hoping that someone can recommend a good one that would teach me the basics of investing in stock options and keep me from losing too much money.
