Pedestrian hit by driver trying to evade police

Another case involving the death of a pedestrianwas recently reported.  The report indicated that the driver who hit the pedestrian was trying to elude the police after a traffic stop.  The accident happened on a Thursday shortly after 4 pm.    Speeding right through a red light, the driver hit another car which caused his to spin and hit a pedestrian, then hit two additional cars.  The pedestrian had been walking across the road when he was hit.  The driver abandoned his car and ran away.  Police officers did a search of the area, found him, and arrested him.  All the drivers and passengers in the cars that had been hit were uninjured.  Unfortunately, the pedestrian who was hit was thrown approximately 75 feet.  As witnesses rushed over to him they found that injuries had caused his death.
