Before you fill out the form to take the withdrawal, you must check into the rules to see if the plan actually allows a withdrawal or if there are provisions for hardship or loan again the funds in the account.

There are many possibilities but you must read the rules and understand them before you take the withdrawal. It is easier to take money out of some plans than others.
