I was looking at these faucets at an online hardware store, and they said that they were kohler roman tub faucets.  They were beautiful, but I couldn’t figure out what made them different from any other faucets.  Why were they called “roman” faucets?  Is it their shape or does it have something to do with how they are mounted?  They did look like they went on more like a sink faucet instead of on the wall like most tub faucets are installed.  I think it may be that they only fit on tubs that do not double as showers, but I am not sure.

We have this spare room that we want to fix up this spring.  One of the ideas we have is to make 2 different bunk beds that are either side of the room. But instead of just making regular beds we are going to make loft beds that allow us to build a desk underneath for working and extra storage.  The beds will still be on top, but having the extra room under neath will make a good use of space for both the boys.  I think they are really excited about this new idea for their room of all rooms.

My grandmother is quite the cook.  She’s always cooking something delicious or baking something new, even at eighty years old.  I think it’s helping to keep her young and healthy.  She loves finding new recipes and trying them out.  My husband and I get to be her guinea pigs and sample everything.  We love it!  Today she let us try some of her desserts.  While they were all delicious, our favorite was the cake she made using a blackberry wine recipe.  It seemed a bit outside her box, to bake with wine, but it turned out to be absolutely fantastic.  She loved it too, which means we’ll get to have more of it!
