Our debate class has had a lot of debates but because there is such a diversity in our school,we have had to refrain from some of the most prevalent issues of our time. Even tho we aren’t allowed to deal with those issues we have had fun learning to use our keen intellect to debate about other things. One of the choices for debate that we had was a debate between using the Internet and using phone books. We all laughed about it for so long because it was a silly topic. Even our teacher was laughing as we set the teams up for each side.

Conversational Spanish class was extremely difficult to say the least. We started off slow in class then it gradually become harder and harder.  We had to have conversations in Spanish in front of the class and I was very nervous. When a family member or friend passes away, it can take a huge emotional toll on the people involved. One of the duties of executor of the estate could be making funeral arrangements for the deceased person. I was looking for a friend who I was very close to in high school. I couldn’t seem to find her because she had gotten married and I no longer knew her last name. I finally got a small lead the the other day after talking to someone who thought they may have known her married name. They also said they had read somewhere online that she was in a 312 are code. For the past 5 years I’ve been a guitar teacher at the local music store. This has been an amazing job. I honestly can’t think of anything else that I would like to do. My students are all really nice kids, and they work really hard at the assignments that I give them. One student in particular has really excelled. He has only been playing for a year, but has already mastered a number of Jimi Hendrix songs. I do my best to give him guitar tips, but this student won’t need my help for much longer. Seeing students progress like this makes my job very rewarding.

Most people when discussing motivation don’t quite get the real differences between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. For our purposes here we can define extrinsic motivation as the one that comes from outside of you in the way or for of others. Intrinsic motivation can be thought of that which comes from the inside or from within you. Of course there are advantages and disadvantages to both effective forms of motivation. Ideally you want your motivation to come from within since you will always be with yourself and then it is a lot more constant then motivation that comes from without.
