Grandma’s Secret Chicken Salad

When I was little I would visit my grandma she would make things that I enjoyed. Everything from breaded chicken to corn dogs. I would grab a bit or two and then venture back outside to explore her large farm. It was her secret chicken salad recipe that had me sit down and take time to hear her stories. Now that I am a mom I have learned this recipe. Her secret, canned chicken from the grocery store as opposed to the fresh chicken I had assumed she used. From there it was quite simple, chicken, mayo, and some pickles. It has to be on top of some toasted white bread. Yummy. It has now become ‘mommy will you make nana’s special chicken salad?’ I hope that one day I can share with my kids her secret chicken salad recipe.
