Riggs the Stuffing Remover

My nephew’s dog, Riggs, is an expert at removing stuffing from his dog toys.  He methodically removes every bit of stuffing and any squeaker that may be inside a stuffed toy and spreads the stuffing all over the house.  Once that task is complete, he will play with the pelt, the unstuffed toy, until it is covered with saliva and a nasty mess. He throws it in the air, plays tug of war with it and chews on it.  It becomes one of his favorite things.   I was determined that I would find a toy for him that he could not destroy.  I purchased a canvas toy that looked indestructible, only to have him bring me the pelt after about five minutes.  I tried floppy ones with just a little stuffing – he removed what little stuffing there was.   He is a genius at toy dismantling.  I finally found a bone shaped dog toy that is made from the same material as a tennis ball.  So far, it still has its squeaker and has not been destroyed.  I win!
