Using the Wind to Supply Energy
Wind power generators, or turbines as they are sometimes called produce electricity. When the wind blows the blades turn a shaft that is connected to an efficient generator. This produces electricity. More and more businesses are installing turbines and using wind power to generate electricity. Some large manufacturers have what are called wind farms, which are a large group of turbines tied together to supply one grid. If you’re thinking about using wind to supply energy for your home make sure you check with local ordinances. Some communities do not allow turbines. If you are lucky enough to be able to install a turbine for your home you only need a small one, with capacity below 100 kilowatts.
