Looking into Getting an Online College Degree

I have been thinking about going back to school. My job has felt a bit dead end lately. When I look at other positions or other careers, they all require more education than I currently have. The problem is that I can not just quit my job to go back to school – I have bills to pay and need to stick with my job until I qualify for something better. I have been looking into online college degrees. I remember a time when they were not taken seriously but now with more and more colleges offering them, they are as reputable as any other college degree.

I have been working on narrowing my choices down. I am only considering online colleges that are accredited. I was pleased to learn that I might be able to qualify for financial aid for my online college degree as well. The classes are a bit more affordable, but not free! I have been looking into programs that offer the opportunity to take one or two courses to start off with and then if I decide to, I can apply them to a certificate or a degree. I think that is a good idea for me to just get my feet wet and see how it goes.
