golf swing tip: slow and steady

Something my dad always told me when we played golf was, “slow and steady.” I usually would ignore him. I wasn’t in the mood for a golf swing tip. I wanted to play how I wanted to play. I thought I could figure it out on my own. The more I started to play, however, the more that tip really did help. I would concentrate on that slow swing backward. Then finishing coming down smooth and hitting through the ball. Now I hear myself telling other people, “slow and steady.” Just not around my dad. I can’t give him the satisfaction that I was actually listening.
