In choosing Dish Network vs Direct TV which one gives better reception in bad weather?

I have a satellite TV system now and when the weather gets cloudy or windy, I have no reception. I want to be able to enjoy my entertainment regardless of the weather . In looking at Dish Network vs Direct TV which one has a better track record during bad weather? (I used this site to compare the two: http://www.squidoo.com/dish_network_vs_direct_tv) Is there some extra equipment that helps alleviate problems with weather? Please help me by sending any information you have regarding this topic and how each system ranks for service during stormy times. I am particularly interested in how the dish operates in icy weather since mine has frozen up and I have not had service until it thaws out.
